A Photographic Tour Of Hampshire

I woke up early one Saturday morning and decided that I wanted to show all of you the Hampshire landscape. I suppose I could have picked a better day - this one was somewhat overcast and threatening of rain. But I still think the pictures show that it's beautiful here, and just imagine what it looks like when the sun is shining!

This is the "Hampshire Tree". Supposedly our little logo is modeled after this tree. Thurston Moore played here last week. Here he is talking to some random Hampshire student. Word has it that he and Kim Gordon frequent the school. Insert funny caption here: "Hampshire College - where the cows eat grass, and the kids smoke it". Cows.

This is the front of my building. I sit out there on the couch on the "stoop". This is the lawn in front of my building. I look out my window and watch all the people bustling about. The reason there are no people bustling about is that I got up early on a Saturday morning to take all these pictures. Hampshire kids do not get up early on Saturday mornings.

The Hampshire bocce court. It's a very serious sport. Lots of the trees here have swings on them. They're really nice for breezy sunny days. I bet you didn't know that Hampshire was in the Ivy League.

People like to put up lots and lots of flyers. That little hut is called the Yurt. The radio broadcasts take place in there.

That's my bike underneath a tree. One of two greenhouses on campus.

We've got this litte community garden in addition to the farm. It's gotten slightly grown over, but some kids are working to fix it up. These are the Prescot Mods. They're the "urban feel" housing.

Just yesterday this field was filled with giant corn stalks as far as the eye could see. They were kinda scary at night like X-Files or something. But I guess they decided to eat the corn. Or maybe it was the aliens...

Here's the reservoir. If it were hot out, this would be filled with naked hippies.
